Imagine the brain,
that shiny mound of being,
that mouse-gray parliament of cells,
that dream factory,
that petit tyrant inside a ball of bone,
that huddle of neurons calling all the plays,
that little everywhere,
that fickle pleasuredome,
that wrinkled wardrobe of selves stuffed into the skull like too many clothes into a gym bag.

Robyn thanks for sharing, 'that dream factory' made me laugh, but it is so true for me, sometimes I feel like my dreams are real, and the real time is dream because it passes so fast. Hope all is well with you. BTW I like your new blog style and colors. Anna :)
Anna, I too loved the way Diane Ackerman put poetry to the many aspects of our brains. I liked the line, "that fickle pleasuredome."
I loved the brown that Blogger now has available. I love browns and it suits me just right. Like the map in the background of the banner because I think of myself as a global citizen.
